Last year for my 24th Birthday myself and the boyfriend decided to go away to Croatia for a few days, it took us a while to figure out where we wanted to go, we was going back and forward with it being Italy, Spain and Croatia and I’m pretty sure more came up in conversation but we quickly settled on Croatia when we saw photos of my cousins trip there that we knew we had to go and visit.
Our flight for Croatia was bright an early, we arrive in Croatia at 1pm. Before arriving in Croatia we already booked our coach from Zagreb airport to Zagreb city then to Plitvička Jezera where we was staying for the night, the journey in total took just over 3 hours, when we arrived in Plitvička Jezera we still had to walk for over 30 minutes to the cabin that we was staying for the night.
Once we checked into our cabin, we decided to stay and enjoy the quietness near our cabin, specially since we was exhausted from all the travel we did.
We was told by the owner of the cabin that the jezera lake would take over 6 hours to do and because we had a bus scheduled to pick us up from the Plitvička Jezera entrance 2 to Biograd na Moru where we was heading after, so we decided to change our bus ticket to a later time, so it would give us enough time to catch it if we was running late.
There is 2 main entrance of the park, Entrance 1 and entrance 2. We decided to start from entrance 2 from there we got a shuttle to point 3 where the hike pretty much starts. Honestly the most spectacular amazing views I’ve ever seen and even though it was packed with so many people it still felt very peaceful and quiet. There is so many waterfalls in every part you go you will see one. The main one is located towards point 1 which is the biggest waterfall is. We found that we didn’t take as long as we thought we would have.
I advice that take suncream with you because even though it seemed like sun wouldn’t burn as much it did. I had a ban sunburn from the hike all on my shoulder which I forgot to put suncream on.
