Picking up from my last Santorini posts which if you haven’t seen any of the Santorini posts go do so now –link-. We arrived in Crete at 8pm, we decided on hiring a car as we knew we would be going to see different locations and it would be easier and cheaper than by traveling by coach or taxi. The drive from Heraklion to Chania took over 2 hours, meant we didn’t arrive at our hotel till midnight, we was super lucky enough that the hotel manager stayed behind waiting for us to arrive.
Our day officially started at 9:30AM, we got ready and headed downstairs for breakfast where we grabbed everything we saw on the buffet table and headed outside with our food.
As the weather was nice and sunny we decided to check out one of Crete’s beaches, Elafonisi, the drive to the beach took and hour and half and honestly it was worth it, beach was incredible, clear water where you could see fishes swimming beside you and white sand. Perfect weather for a swim and tan.
Due to the long drive from the night before and drive to the beach we felt very jet lagged that we didn’t have energy for anything so we decided to cut it short and grab something to eat before heading back to the hotel.
We decided to grab something to eat at a restaurant that was right by the beach, it was the only restaurant that we actually saw near by. We got a nice view of the beach while we ate.
We decided to take a stroll around the beach where we was staying at and ended up watching a movie in bed and having an early night as we was tired.
