Barcelona, Catalan

Over 4 years ago I went on my first holiday away on my own without my parents, I went on a college trip to Barcelona, it was the first time going to a completely new place, specially somewhere new rather than going to the same places like Madeira and Venezuela, it was such an amazing experience specially to go with a bunch of friends was amazing.
On the 6th of February 2012 I went to Barcelona for a college trip, we landed in Barcelona early morning, so we had time to drop everything off at the hostel and go explore the place, once we all drop our stuff we headed to see Segrada Familia, which is a large Roman Catholic Church designed by Antoni Gaudi, its such an amazing building and I still can’t believe its still being build to this day (June 2016), I wish I could of gotten the chance to go inside and see it but one day I will.
Sagrada Familia, which is a large Roman Catholic Church, designed by Antoni Gaudí, its a pretty huge building and one of my favourite place that I have been, we also visited Plaza De España to go to a museum that I sadly don’t remember the name of but I do remember we had to walk up so many flights of stairs.
I think it was on the 3rd day we visited Park Güell, such a beautiful park, huge with perfect views of the city, which in one of the images from above you can see in the distance the sea which was pretty cool, we also got to see the outside of Gaudi’s House which was pretty cool, after walking around the park we decided to sat down to have some drinks and ended up feeding the pigeons and parrots.
After the park we headed to the Marcat de Sat Josep/La Boqueria, Barcelona’s best-known market, the market sold ranges of food, from ready made fresh fruits, salads to fresh out of the sea crabs and lobsters and not to forget about the sweet section in the market. And after the market we headed to Gothic Quarter, the Gothic Quarter is the centre of the old city of Barcelona, its such a beautiful place.
Day four was our last full day in Barcelona, a couple of us wasn’t feeling up to with out tutors to another art museum, we wanted to do something different and to be honest no tutors around to stop us from having a good time, we had talked about going to the Museu de la Xocolate (chocolate museum), trying to find the museum was the hardest thing, we did ended up getting lost and me asking a complete stranger where it was since I was the only one in the group who spoke Spanish to ask for directions to get there, on our way there we saw Arc de Triomf which sadly I don’t have a picture of.
We left Barcelona on Friday morning and got to England in the evening, Barcelona was such an amazing place to travel to for the first time, such a beautiful place nothing like where I’ve been to before, I will be back there again some time soon.
